FIELD JOURNAL / 001
Life between
the tides.
Open skies, shallow pools, and a shoreline full of things to notice. Environmental science, down at ground level.
01 / OUT ON THE FLATS
Space to slow down.
Our outing took us across wide tidal flats, with cloud-filled skies reflected in the shallow water. The photographs capture people spread across the open shoreline, looking around and exploring together.
A field visit gives us a shared place to begin: a surface to look at, a sound to notice, or a question to bring back to the group.
02 / A CLOSER LOOK
Down to the details.
Some moments brought everyone closer to the ground. In one photograph, participants gather around an activity in the wet sand. In another, birds stand among shallow channels and rippled mud.
These are the details our photo journal holds onto: the textures, the water, the birds, and the people sharing the experience.
03 / KEEP WONDERING
What would you notice?
Where do birds gather as the water moves? How do the patterns of mud change as it dries? Our field notes turn these small observations into questions to explore.
